The writer, journalist and the managing editor of AZaman newspaper, Youssef AlHaj, has been released after was sentenced to one year imprisonment because of a report about a corruption on the judiciary, on 26 July 2016, and also because of two interviews with the Vice-President of Supreme Court Ali al-Noumani, which were published on 7th and 9th of August 2016. AlHaj came out after completing his sentence.
